Far Cry® 2 is a true open-world FPS where every decision you make affects the outcome of the game. Run, swim, drive, fly, shoot, fight and smash your way through over 50km² of open world. Beware though, sometimes the hunter can become the hunted.

Fighting malaria is a pain in the ass. But the gameplay and graphics still holds up to this day and I feel like a lone wolf and deeply immersed in this game.
Best hardcore Far Cry game ever made that also never get any remaster or remake. Hope this game gets remastered version soon. Anyway, Greatest enemies in this game are "gun jamming" and "malaria". it can happen to you anytime.
Wow. I've only just started the game but I'm already blown away. The graphics and atmosphere are phenomenal- completely on another level. It really feels like you're in a hopeless war-torn Africa. Can't wait to play more. Even if that means suffering malaria and malfunctioning weapons.

Far Cry 2 is an excellent adventure for players who enjoy open-world sandbox games that reward creativity and experimentation. Its relentless action and freedom of approach make every encounter feel unique. A must-play for Far Cry fans and an enduring classic. Highly recommended.
I can't speak to the technical issues people are reporting in more recent reviews, but I can say that the base game is incredible. I think this is by far the best entry in the Far Cry series. There are so many cool, innovative things in this game. The core gameplay loop of 1) planning an attack, 2) executing your plan, 3) a wrench being thrown into your plan and 4) having to improvise on the fly is so much fun.
