How to join the family - step by step
  1. Use a free Spotify accountIf you pay for Premium, cancel it and wait until it ends. Family members can't have their own plan at the same time.
  2. Turn on a VPN set to SerbiaSpotify only lets you pick the country you're in right now. If you're not in Serbia, install a free VPN extension, set it to Serbia and keep it on until you've joined the family.Free VPN for Chrome (Hola)
  3. Set your country to SerbiaOn spotify.com open Account → Edit profile → Country or region, pick Serbia and save.
  4. Open the invite linkLog in to your own Spotify account, open the invite link from your Library and tap Accept.
  5. Confirm the addressWhen Spotify asks for the address, type the plan's address from your Library and pick the matching suggestion. If Spotify asks again later, enter the same address - you can't change it, it belongs to the plan.

Before you buy

Confirm the plan manager's addressWhen you join, Spotify asks you to confirm the plan's address. You get it together with your invite link in your Library. This is the most common reason joining fails, so don't skip it.
Spotify account set to SerbiaAll our families are in Serbia, so your Spotify account has to be set to Serbia. Not there? Switch it with a free VPN - see the guide in step 4.
Once every 12 monthsSpotify lets you switch families once a year. That's their rule, and we can't change it.
No other planIf you already pay for Premium, cancel it before joining. Two plans can't run at the same time.
